A few LJ things:
1) How the hell do I get LJ to stop sending me notifications whenever someone gets a virtual gift? I unchecked the appropriate box in my Journal Viewing Options, but it doesn't seem to work. I have received about 30 emails telling me that someone has received a snowflake cookie. While that's sweet and all, it's filling up my inbox at an alarming rate.
2) Has anyone else had issues with making LJ cuts?
3) Should I change my journal name? I am not particularly attached to the one I have. Plus, I am tired of people thinking I named myself after cheese.

And I don't have a strong preference on your name... I don't like LJ names that are phrases, because I feel silly calling someone a phrase, but other than that, whatever makes you happy :).

As for my name, I hated adding the "75" at the end. But Heather is a really common name, and I am not the first clever clogs to figure out that it can be translated into French. What I am wondering is if I do change my username, would confuse people? (Although I suppose I could put "formerly bruyere_75" in my header or something.)
