1. Pepsi or Coke? Smarties or M&Ms? 7up or Sprite? Xbox or PS2? Mac or PC? (yeah, counts as one for me)
I don't really drink fizzy drinks all that often, and when I do, it's this hippie organic ginger ale from Jardin Mobile. Smarties are better than M&Ms, but sometimes I like to mix M&Ms with Skittles, because then you get S&Ms. I do not own a video game platform, although the wii is looking pretty attractive. And I am a PC user who wishes she had bought a Mac.
2. What's your favourite painting (or who's your favourite painter if it's too difficult to choose a single painting) and why?
It's really hard to pick one painting, but I am fond of "Starry Night" by Van Gogh. I have a reproduction of it in my living room, and I had an iPod skin of it on my old Nano.
3. How long could you honestly spend without Internet access?
About a day, I think. After that I would start feeling a bit isolated. The internet is like my cell phone-- I never needed it until I had one. But now that I do, it's become sort of a lifeline. It's a communications tool, an information resource, a source of entertainment, a giant time suck, and a source of fun things like this:

4. What's your favourite reference book? And the one you use the most?
Do cookbooks count as reference books? Because I don't know what I would do without my copy of The Joy of Cooking. If cookbooks don't count, I think the Canadian Press Stylebook is the most useful thing around.
5. Will you go see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the cinema?
Well, my husband went last week, and I opted to stay home with a friend to watch Doctor Who and drink beer. So I guess that's a no.
